Our story

For Joe Joe, his passion for cooking was influenced by his father, Joe Sr, and his uncle Cruz at a very young age. In 2012, Joe Joe teamed up with two cousins and a close friend and started a competitive cooking team. A year later, Joe Joe and his wife Amy created Torres Competition Cooking and morphed into Torres Cooking Concepts in 2018. Amy currently works as a kitchen manager for a large-scale high school in the Northwest (TX) ISD and has been in food service since 2009. Both Joe Joe and Amy have won multiple cooking events together and currently only compete in charitable cooking events when not demoing or teaching.
